PARIS \u2014 Jean-Luc M\u00e9lenchon announced his fourth run for French president on Sunday, becoming one of the highest-profile candidates to formally join the race to replace term-limited Emmanuel Macron next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I am a candidate,\u201d the 74-year-old leftist said in an interview<\/a> with French broadcaster TF1, describing himself as best suited to face \u201can agitated season in global history\u201d \u2014 pointing to geopolitical, economic and environmental risks.<\/p>\n
