{"id":937032,"date":"2026-05-04T11:53:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-04T11:53:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/937032\/"},"modified":"2026-05-04T11:53:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-04T11:53:17","slug":"enos-on-potential-world-war-z-2-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/937032\/","title":{"rendered":"Enos On Potential &#8220;World War Z 2&#8221; Return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/enos-on-potential-world-war-z-2-return.jpg\" data-caption=\"Paramount Pictures\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/enos-on-potential-world-war-z-2-return.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"enos-on-potential-world-war-z-2-return\"\/><\/a>Paramount Pictures<\/p>\n<p>The 2013 zombie action film \u201cWorld War Z\u201d was a commercial success, pulling in $540 million to become the highest-grossing zombie film of all time.<\/p>\n<p>It also had production issues which led to a reshot third act and a fairly costly budget said to be well over $200 million.<\/p>\n<p>A sequel was announced though shortly after, but after several years of stalled development (including David Fincher considering directing it), it was officially shelved over budgetary concerns and China\u2019s ban on zombie films.<\/p>\n<p>So it came as a surprise at CinemaCon the other week when Paramount officially announced that a sequel was again in the works \u2013 no director, writer or cast revealed at the time and no dates set.<\/p>\n<p>While Brad Pitt was the headline star, \u201cThe Killing\u201d actress Mireille Enos was the female lead as the wife of Pitt\u2019s character with both surviving events on screen.  <\/p>\n<p>Enos has been out doing press in recent weeks for the new season of Apple TV\u2019s \u201cFor All Mankind\u201d and was asked by <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/paramount-new-world-war-z-movie-mireille-enos-response\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Screen Rant<\/a> if she\u2019d be up for returning:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>There have been different versions, hopeful versions over these past 15 years. So we\u2019ll see.
