A huge police response “swarmed” a block of flats in Wirral<\/a> this afternoon. Residents told the ECHO a “large police presence” descended on Ward Grove in Rock Ferry<\/a>, today, Monday, May 4, with the ECHO first being made aware of it around 3.03pm<\/p>\n One person said there were armed officers in attendance as well as at least ten police vans and cars. A second person said she was on her way to work when she saw Matrix police officers armed with guns “swarming the flats”.<\/p>\n A Merseyside Police force incident manager told the ECHO<\/a> officers were responding to a concern for safety inside the flats.
