Manchester United\u2019s unhappy Premier League season found a new depth to plunge to on May 11.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Unbeaten all season in the Europa League<\/a> en route to booking a place in the Final<\/a>, Manchester United are a totally different team in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The latest poor result was a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford<\/a> to a poor West Ham team, who were still a gulf above the Red Devils in quality.<\/p>\n

And then to top off a bad afternoon which left the club a rancid 16th in the table, Leny Yoro suffered an injury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Leny Yoro hobbled off in the 52nd minute, replaced by Victor Lindelof. It is fair to ask why the young Frenchman was not rested in the first place.<\/p>\n

Amorim had selected a relatively strong XI, sensing a potential victory at Old Trafford<\/a>, only to see United fall flat once again in the league.<\/p>\n

Yoro\u2019s injury was the most miserable moment of the game, with fans fearing he could miss the Europa League Final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

BBC reporter Simon Stone provided a little context around Leny Yoro\u2019s injury, relaying what he spotted as the Frenchman left the stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeny Yoro was not wearing a protective boot or using crutches as he left the stadium,\u201d he reported.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim optimistic<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim has already seen centre-back Lisandro Martinez ruled out for the season with a torn ACL.<\/p>\n

Amorim immediately knew that was a terrible injury, but his words regarding Leny Yoro display some optimism, alongside the fact the defender did not leave the stadium in a protective boot.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWe have to assess Leny in a better way tomorrow [Monday]. He felt something but I think it could be a small thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referring back to Yoro\u2019s pre-season metatarsal injury<\/a>, he added: \u201cHe had that problem at the beginning of the season. We hope it\u2019s not too serious. I don\u2019t want to say too much but maybe it\u2019s not a big deal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
