Dogs were wished a ‘Bone Appetit’ with a jar of dog treats handily placed on the bar, too, meaning your four legged friend could enjoy a pub date with you here.

What’s more, serving food seven days a week, The Gallimaufry has been known for its pop-up kitchens and special guests from the local foodie scene. Right now that is the task of nearby Pizzucci – a New York-esque pizza restaurant which also offers takeaway and delivery options.

Inside The Gallimaufry on Gloucester Road, Bristol(Image: Paul Gillis/Reach Plc)

Menus on the tables at The Gallimaufry for Pizzucci offer a range of small plates like arancini, cold cuts and garlic pizza bread (all between £7 and £8 each), as well as 11″ and 16″ pizzas with toppings including hot honey, vodka sauce, anchovy, mushroom, meatballs – and classics like margherita and pepperoni (all priced between £11 and £15 for an 11″ and £24 and £32 for a 16″ pizza).

While I didn’t opt to order one this time around (mainly because I’d had one not too long ago) I can definitively say that Pizzucci is my usual go-to pizza place in Bristol, especially in the Gloucester Road area. It’s delicious whether you takeaway and eat at home, or visit the restaurant just doors away from The Galli – Pizzucci’s restaurant offers cocktails and an in-store playlist of music, but it’s good that if you’d prefer to dine in the quirky colourful pub itself, you can tuck into a Pizzucci from here now too.

All in all, The Gallimaufry is full of character, with local food and drink options on the menu and plenty of cosy seating areas for people and dogs. Throw in the quirky decoration and the daily live music events – it’s definitely a ‘must visit’ for any and all Bristol locals at least once in their lifetime.

It’s a staple of the bustling road’s bar scene 16:00, 04 May 2026 The Gallimaufry on Gloucester Road,…

[8818
381,748,9418,393,786,4884,9028,16,15
0":"post-937643","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bristol","8":"tag-bristol","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-eating-out-in-bristol","11":"tag-england","12":"tag-food-and-drink","13":"tag-great-britain","14":"tag-pubs-and-bars-in-bristol","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
