Along with Phil’s video, a statement from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service reads: “Update from Area Manager Phil Jones after reports of a fire at 14:45 today at Warburton\u2019s Burnley bakery on Billington Road, involving one of their production lines.<\/p>\n
“At the height of the incident twelve fire engines and several specialist units were in attendance. Police, ambulance, and on-site staff were also on scene to assist crews.<\/p>\n
“Thank you everyone that has observed the cordons currently in place. We ask that members of the public continue to avoid the area and not to fly drones, as this can hinder our drone from carrying out essential work.<\/p>\n
“Crews are expected to remain on the scene for the next couple of days to ensure the fire has been fully extinguished.<\/p>\n
