Robert Irwin has recalled the terrifying moment he was pinned down by a \u201cboss croc\u201d at his family\u2019s wildlife conservation park, Australia Zoo.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, the 22-year-old gave host Jimmy Fallon an update on the crocodile named after the talk show host at the Sunshine State reserve \u2013 a croc Robert knows all too well, given it once tried to \u201cdeath-roll\u201d him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI named this crocodile Jimmy Fallon, like, years ago, and he\u2019s now what we call a boss croc,\u201d Robert told Fallon on the show. \u201cHe\u2019s huge, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

A playfully defensive Fallon tried to stop his namesake crocodile from being body-shamed, hilariously interjecting that the animal is actually \u201cnormal size\u201d but \u201cas you get older, you start to put some pounds on\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know what it\u2019s like,\u201d the 51-year-old added.<\/p>\n

Robert laughed that he is indeed aware of the croc\u2019s increasing size because he once felt the weight of its entire body on him while trying to study the massive creature. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe research crocodiles in the wild to better conserve them, right? The way you do that \u2014 my dad came up with this \u2014 is you actually have to jump on them, right?\u201d Robert said, referring to his late father, Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I jumped on the back of Jimmy Fallon and, get this \u2026 he death-rolled me,\u201d he continued. \u201cI jumped onto him. I kid you not \u2013 14 foot [4.2 metres] of crocodile, big croc, death rolls me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I\u2019m stuck underneath him with my arm hanging out. I\u2019ve got like, probably, I don\u2019t know, maybe 700 pounds [317kg] on top of me and I\u2019m just like, \u2018What do I do?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Luckily for Robert, the croc eventually \u201crolled back the other way\u201d and the wildlife warrior was able to crawl away from under him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was fine, but he\u2019s a goer, Jimmy,\u201d he concluded. \u201cHe\u2019s a goer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Robert excitedly shared more details on his upcoming hosting gig<\/a> on the US Dancing With The Stars spin-off show, Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shot it in Brisbane, so right at Australia Zoo,\u201d he said proudly. \u201cThere\u2019s even an episode that may or may not take place with some of my animals back at Australia Zoo.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Next Pro will feature 12 up-and-coming dancers \u2013 the best of the best from around the world \u2013 who move into a house together and battle through the audition process. <\/p>\n

Their ultimate goal is to win a spot as a pro dancer on the upcoming Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars.<\/p>\n

Robert won the most recent season of DWTS, taking home the prized mirrorball trophy with dance partner Witney Carson.
