RECENT RAIN CREATES OASIS FOR REPTILES ALONG POPULAR TEXAS HIKING TRAIL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What to do during a rattlesnake encounter<\/p>\n<p data-v-438398f6=\"\">Wildlife experts suggest these tips if you encounter this dangerous reptile:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul data-v-2519e4fa=\"\">\n<li data-v-2519e4fa=\"\">Stay calm &amp; give it plenty of space (plus let others know you have encountered a snake).<\/li>\n<li data-v-2519e4fa=\"\">Keep an eye out along the trail, including around large rocks &amp; spots where a snake might be sunning itself.<\/li>\n<li data-v-2519e4fa=\"\">Watch where you step or reach with your hands.<\/li>\n<li data-v-2519e4fa=\"\">Stand still if you think you hear a snake, until you\u2019ve located the snake;
