Manchester United and Brazil midfielder Casemiro has claimed that he doesn’t have any resentment towards “bitter” Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.<\/p>\n
In 2024, Carragher<\/a> famously said Casemiro should “leave the football before the football leaves you”. At that point, he was struggling after a move from Real Madrid<\/a>, but the Brazilian has since turned things around and was on the winning side against Liverpool<\/a> last weekend at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n “Everyone says whatever they want on television. Maybe after you win two titles against his club, there\u2019s still some bitterness there.<\/p>\n “I respect his opinion. I don\u2019t hold any resentment. The important thing is that he recognized he was wrong and changed his opinion. That\u2019s what matters most.<\/p>\n “Nowadays, everyone has an opinion. Everyone wants to go viral. But football isn\u2019t always like that.”<\/p>\n Carragher was not the only person to doubt Casemiro. Former manager Ruben Amorim<\/a> cast doubt over his running power as well.<\/p>\n “One of the biggest achievements of my career was this comeback and changing a manager’s opinion,” the 34-year-old, speaking to TNT Sports Brasil<\/a>, continued.<\/p>\n “He said I didn\u2019t have the intensity. I managed to change his opinion.
