Huge rat spotted inside Paisley Greggs<\/p>\n

A Greggs bakery in Paisley was forced to close down this week after a large rat was spotted combing through supplies after lock-up.<\/p>\n

A passing member of the public spotted the rat clambering through a bin cage inside the store on Ferguslie Walk in Paisley<\/a> earlier this week. The woman filmed the moment from outside the shop, with the large pest seen scurrying along the shop floor through the window.<\/p>\n

In the video, shared to Facebook, a person behind the camera can be heard retching, with another saying: “Oh my god, look at that, they must be in that shop”.<\/p>\n

Greggs closed the Paisley branch after the “disgusting” video circulated online. Glasgow Live<\/a> can confirm that it has since reopened.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greggs said: \u201cWe take all matters of food hygiene extremely seriously and have strict procedures in place across all of our shops.<\/p>\n
