Spanish authorities have given permission for the ship to dock in the Canary Islands, despite concerns from local officials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/clype7ededzo\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">About 150 people are still aboard the cruise ship<\/a> under &#8220;strict precautionary measures&#8221;, Oceanwide Expeditions has said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">They include 19 passengers and four crew members listed as British, according to figures released by Oceanwide Expeditions on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Three people were evacuated from the ship on Wednesday to the Netherlands for treatment, the operator said &#8211; two in a serious condition, and one in a stable condition.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The three evacuees were British, Dutch and German. Oceanwide Expeditions said the German evacuee was &#8220;closely associated&#8221; with a German woman who died on board the ship on 2 May.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Among them was a 56-year-old British man, who was is in a &#8220;stable condition&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Prof Robin May, the chief scientific officer at the UKHSA, told BBC Breakfast on Thursday that the Briton is &#8220;in the Netherlands, our understanding is he is doing well&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;He is going to be under investigation for some time. I&#8217;m very pleased he&#8217;s now in hospital and receiving the treatment he needs,&#8221; May said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">His wife Nicola <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/uk\/healthcare\/article\/canary-islands-hantavirus-cruise-ship-dock-evacuation-8dzr52w6d\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told the Daily Telegraph, external<\/a> it had been &#8220;a very dramatic few days&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">She told the paper: &#8220;He&#8217;s relieved to be off the ship. He had it quite mild then it got a bit more serious and now he&#8217;s stable again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;The fear with this virus is it can deteriorate very quickly so it&#8217;s been a bit up and down for him.
