As well as voting for a constituency MSP, voters across Perthshire will be asked to vote in the regional ballot for the Scottish Parliament today.\"Polling<\/p>\n

On Thursday, May 7, voters will head to the polls for the Scottish Parliament election.<\/p>\n

Voters will receive two ballot papers – one will be lilac and one will be peach – and can only vote once on each paper by placing an “X” next to their chosen party\/candidate.<\/p>\n

The lilac ballot paper is the constituency ballot paper. There are five candidates standing in the Perthshire South and Kinross-shire constituency and five candidates standing in the Perthshire North constituency. Voters are asked to mark a cross (X) next to their chosen candidate to represent their constituency. There are five parties represented by five candidates in each of the Perth and Kinross constituencies. The five parties represented in both of the local constituencies are: Reform UK, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, Scottish Labour, Scottish Liberal Democrats<\/strong> and the Scottish National Party<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The peach ballot paper is for Mid Scotland and Fife – one of eight electoral regions in Scotland. There are 13 parties standing in the Mid Scotland and Fife region. Voters can vote for one candidate\/party standing in the regional ballot.<\/p>\n

Perth and Kinross voters can vote for Reform UK, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, Scottish Labour, Scottish Liberal Democrats<\/strong> or the Scottish National Party<\/strong> in both ballot papers.<\/p>\n

In addition to these five parties, here are the other eight parties\/candidates standing in the Mid Scotland and Fife region (peach ballot paper):<\/p>\n

According to the party’s website, “Alliance To Liberate Scotland is a united coalition of Independence parties working together to bring about Scotland\u2019s self-determination through democratic, people-powered action.<\/p>\n

We are carers, labourers, teachers, cleaners, just everyday Scots standing shoulder to shoulder for one cause – an independent Scotland, governed by and for its people.<\/p>\n
