Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said Germany\u2019s course toward large-scale revanche after its defeat in\u00a0the Second World War has become official.<\/p>\n
In an article published on RT, Medvedev recalled that on April 22, 2026, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius presented to parliament Germany\u2019s first-ever military strategy, titled \u00abResponsibility for Europe.\u00bb The document identifies the Russian Federation as a fundamental threat to the \u00abrules-based world order.\u00bb<\/p>\n
According to\u00a0Medvedev, the German strategy portrays Moscow as\u00a0allegedly seeking to\u00a0weaken the alliance\u2019s unity and undermine the strength of\u00a0transatlantic ties in\u00a0order to\u00a0expand its influence.<\/p>\n
He\u00a0said that, under this logic, attempts at\u00a0dialogue with Russia are to\u00a0be\u00a0blocked, while military pressure on\u00a0Moscow is\u00a0to\u00a0increase.
