\n\tNewly-crowned Oscar winner Jessie Buckley<\/a> is reuniting with her \u201cHamnet\u201d co-star Paul Mescal<\/a> for \u201cHold On To Your Angels,\u201d written and to be directed by Oscar nominee Benh Zeitlin (\u201cBeasts Of The Southern Wild,\u201d \u201cWendy\u201d) and what promises to be a buzzy film launching in the Cannes market. <\/p>\n

\n\tPlan B (\u201cF1,\u201d \u201cMoonlight\u201d) will produce with Alex Coco (\u201cAnora,\u201d \u201cRed Rocket\u201d) under his Rapt Film banner. The Veterans is handling international sales, with domestic distribution rights represented by CAA Media Finance. Production is set to begin in February.<\/p>\n

\n\tSet on the edge of South Louisiana, \u201cHold On To Your Angels\u201d follows a hell-bound outlaw (Mescal) and a ferocious shepherd of lost souls (Buckley)who fall in catastrophic love as their crumbling bayou paradise drags them under.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2019Hold On To Your Angels\u201d is the most impossible love story I\u2019ve ever witnessed \u2014 an outlaw romance for the end of America, set on the crumbling edge of South Louisiana. I\u2019ve been dreaming of telling it since its hero, Pam Harper, walked into an audition for Beasts of the Southern Wild seventeen years ago. It\u2019s a love letter to an endangered way of life \u2014 and a rallying cry for empathy across a fractured planet, said Zeitlin.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
