EasyJet customers can now book flights and package holidays to a new Spanish destination from Bristol Airport. The new service to Seville took off over the weekend and is now operating twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays providing customers with a connection to Andalusia\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n
Seats are available at easyJet.com and via the app from \u00a333.99, while packages with easyJet holidays start from \u00a3214 per person for three nights.<\/p>\n
This summer the airline will also welcome its 20th aircraft to its fleet at Bristol Airport, as well as new routes to Reus and Thessaloniki. Stay in the know by making sure you\u2019re receiving our daily newsletter<\/a><\/p>\n Kevin Doyle, easyJet\u2019s UK country manager, said: \u201cWe are delighted to celebrate the launch of our new service from Bristol to Seville, further expanding the range of routes and destinations available for our customers in the Southwest at fantastic fares.<\/p>\n \u201cOur continued success in Bristol is a clear testament to the popularity of our flights and holidays and the growth of our fleet with an additional aircraft this summer will further unlock the opportunity of the demand that we see for both leisure and business travel.\u201d<\/p>\n Rupert Lawrie, commercial director at Bristol Airport, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to welcome easyJet\u2019s new route to Seville<\/p>\n “This Spanish City is an incredible place, renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture and world-famous architecture.<\/p>\n “Not only is it a great base to explore all the leisure opportunities that southern Spain has to offer, but it opens up even more links for European visitors to the South West.<\/p>\n \u201cIt also plays an important role in connecting regional businesses with key international markets, including global leaders such as Airbus.<\/p>\n “We\u2019re proud to continue working with easyJet expanding travel opportunities for all of our customers and making it easier to explore and connect.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this spring, Bristol Airport officially submitted ambitious expansion plans, sparking a conflict with local residents and environmental campaigners. You can read more about that here<\/a><\/p>\n The airport is seeking permission to extend the runway, increase flight frequency, enlarge the terminal and raise the maximum passenger limit from the current 12 million per annum to 15 million.<\/p>\n Significant construction work has taken place at the airport over the past couple of years, including a transport hub that has transformed how passengers access the terminal.<\/p>\n The airport stated that this would result in the number of flights in and out rising from the current 85,990 to 100,000 annually in the long term, in order to “meet demand for air travel”,<\/p>\n
