Alice Haynes\u2019 filly SUCKING DIESEL<\/strong> showed up a bit better than the distance beaten suggests when mid-field in the Brocklesby at Doncaster just over a week ago, and she can put that experience to good use up against newcomers. Karl Burke\u2019s Ali Shuffle and Kevin Ryan\u2019s Maaleezmagic hail from stables with good records with two-year-olds so they head the dangers.<\/p>\n

HASHTAGNOTIONS<\/strong> proved all the better for his return for Richard Fahey when knuckling down well for a neck win at Newcastle last time with the visor back on and gets the nod over Flamborough Head, who arrives on the back of an excellent third at the same track.<\/p>\n

Keats House wasn\u2019t seen to best effect on his final start last year when making a mess of the start and is another to consider back from a break and with a hood fitted over this much longer trip. <\/p>\n

Course-and-distance winner PALLAS LORD<\/strong> had an excellent March for Donald Whillans, winning twice at Newcastle and beaten a head at the same track on his last couple of runs.<\/p>\n

He remains of interest back on turf. Havana Prince was ridden too aggressively at Doncaster last week and is worth another chance, with Roaring Ralph, a respectable fifth at Newcastle last time, and Stratocracy, who ended last year with a win at Southwell, completing the shortlist. <\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

David O\u2019Meara\u2019s BAREFOOT WARRIOR<\/strong> looked potentially smart when defying a penalty in a novice at Newcastle last September and remains of strong interest now he goes into a handicap on his return.<\/p>\n

Mr King showed he still had plenty to offer in a handful of runs for Iain Jardine following a mid-season move from Ireland last year, including in the Cambridgeshire, and rates the main threat ahead of Cruyff Turn, a winner at Thirsk last year.<\/p>\n

CONVERGENT<\/strong> has some big entries and looked a useful prospect for Karl Burke when making a winning debut here in the autumn, taking a while to find full stride but well on top at the finish, and should prove hard to beat upped in trip in what looks a weak novice.<\/p>\n

James Owen\u2019s newcomer Colinski may emerge as the main threat ahead of Without Burlington, who offered something to work on in a novice at Kempton in December.<\/p>\n

LECHUGA LAD<\/strong> ran a cracker on his handicap debut when third at Wolverhampton last month and, with further progress on the cards making his turf debut, James Fanshawe\u2019s four-year-old gets the nod to come out on top at the expense of Capla Lazarus, who is better judged on both turf efforts having disappointed on his all-weather debut four months ago. Titainium, who is building a good record at Redcar, and Mister Daydream can fight out minor honours.<\/p>\n

Plenty of these arrive on the back of below-par efforts but Kevin Philippart de Foy\u2019s HAWKESBURY LEGEND<\/strong> took a step forward when runner-up to penalised winner Infantry Officer at Wolverhampton recently, so he can go one better here.<\/p>\n

The chief threat may emerge from Salaria who needs to leave a lesser effort behind but was second on her penultimate outing. Spirit of Murray and Precious Spartan are another couple to consider.<\/p>\n
