Peter Crouch has expressed his concern about the impact Alisson\u2019s possible departure could have on the Liverpool squad.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper has attracted interest from Juventus this summer<\/a>, and despite signing a contract extension in March, could leave as part of a squad overhaul ahead of next season.<\/p>\n

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson\u2019s imminent exits have been confirmed, and Virgil van Dijk will enter the final 12 months of his contract next summer. Salah last week said he is concerned that standards may drop<\/a> when he leaves, and losing Alisson<\/a>, one of the Reds\u2019 most-experienced players, would only exacerbate the issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be a massive loss. He was one of the revolutionary signings along with Salah and Van Dijk,\u201d Crouch told PaddyPower<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were the three that kicked Liverpool on. The thought of losing him is unthinkable. I don\u2019t know how you replace him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ex-Liverpool striker added, \u201cI am worried about the current dressing room. The squad is not where it was.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to be comparing every squad and manager to the Jurgen Klopp era, which for me is unfair because I don\u2019t think there will ever be another manager like that again, unfortunately.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arne Slot recently implied there is an argument in favor of Liverpool selling Alisson<\/a>, who turns 34 later this year and has struggled with hamstring issues this season.<\/p>\n

However, Crouch<\/a> feels the goalkeeper is \u201cirreplaceable\u201d and remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Freddie] Woodman has done well at times this season when he\u2019s been called upon. I think he\u2019s a decent goalkeeper,\u201d the 45-year-old opined.<\/p>\n

\u201cAllison is just world-class. I always think losing someone of that calibre is irreplaceable really.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like gold dust these days having a top keeper. Allison\u2019s performances probably earn you 10 points a season, which is massive when you\u2019re competing for a title or top four.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alisson\u2019s absence is set to stretch to nine games this weekend<\/a>, when Liverpool hosts Chelsea in the Premier League\u2019s early kick-off. The Brazilian has not played since the Champions League win over Galatasaray on March 18 but is close to regaining full fitness.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Alisson\u2019s future last month, Slot said: \u201cThe history of all the transfers shows that nothing was done without a purpose or without thinking about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people who make these decisions take everything into account. They try to make the best decisions with the interest of the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt [experience] is definitely one argument to keep him, but there are other arguments. That is a decision the club has to make if that is needed.
