Axel Disasi is wanted by Leeds United<\/a> in the upcoming summer transfer window as he continues to impress on loan at West Ham.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds were interested in Disasi during the January window as he looked to leave Chelsea on loan, but were beaten to his signature by the Hammers.<\/p>\n

He has been one of their top performers over the last few months as they battle against relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

They are favourites to go down after dropping into the bottom three, and as I revealed on the latest edition of\u00a0Football Insider\u2019s Transfer Insider podcast<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Leeds are confident of agreeing a deal to sign Disasi if Nuno Espirito Santo\u2019s side are relegated.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 transfer plans<\/a> are set to involve signing a new centre-back to bolster Daniel Farke\u2019s options, with their place in the top flight all but confirmed for next season.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has started 11 consecutive league matches since joining West Ham, but has no future at Chelsea despite being under contract until 2029.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe doesn\u2019t seem to have a long-term future at Chelsea, so I would fully expect him to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in the summer window, whether that\u2019s to West Ham or someone else remains to be seen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf West Ham go down, there will probably be no chance of signing him on a permanent basis. Leeds did look at Disasi before he moved to West Ham, they were one of the clubs that were interested in the French defender.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a situation that they will be keeping tabs on. We fully expect Daniel Farke\u2019s side to strengthen their centre-back options in the summer transfer window after the move to a three-man defensive formation.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisasi is really impressing at West Ham I\u2019m sure Leeds will be sitting up and taking notice of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bornauw has only managed four league starts for Leeds in his maiden season at the club, and has remained on the bench for their last five matches in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The centre-back has been unable to displace Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk or Jaka Bijol, with an exit now on the horizon as the Whites plan to make defensive additions.<\/p>\n

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider<\/strong> that Leeds will not stand in Bornauw\u2019s way<\/a> if he wishes to leave the club this summer.<\/p>\n

Disasi would likely be a direct replacement for the 27-year-old if he were to arrive at Elland Road following a strong loan at West Ham.<\/p>\n
