E17 locals are practically swimming in good beer. Industrial area-turned-brewery hotspot the Blackhorse Beer Mile just got a new addition from East London Brewing Co<\/a>, complete with a late licence and indoor and alfresco gig spaces. Plus, the Big Penny Beach Club<\/a> is back later this month for the summer season.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s not just the local brewers that have mastered the art of pouring the perfect pint. That\u2019s because now Soho Theatre Walthamstow<\/strong> has opened its very own brew house.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Budding thespians among us will remember the hype when Soho Theatre finally opened the doors to its Walthamstow outpost<\/a> in May 2025. Years in the making, the 1,000-seat space, with a capacity three times bigger than its Dean Street venue, has been serving up\u00a0comedy and theatre ever since<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The new Soho Theatre Pub, which soft launched on Friday May 1, sits next door to the 1930s art deco playhouse in the Hoe Street site formerly occupied by The Collab.<\/p>\n

The Walthamstow<\/a> pub serves drinks from local beer makers Signature Brew, as well as other London booze brands like Mother\u2019s Ruin, Burnt Faith, East London Brewery and East London Liquor Company.<\/p>\n

Drinks are currently the only thing on the menu, but once the venue fully opens on May 15, it\u2019ll offer pre-show dining for audiences and a place to grab a bevvie after performances. It\u2019ll also be open on non-show nights, meaning you don\u2019t have to be a thesp<\/a> to enjoy a drink at the boozer.<\/p>\n

As for food, well, that will be the domain of Great British Menu champ\u00a0(and Time Out\u00a0hot chef<\/a>)\u00a0James Cochran<\/a>. Expect Around the Cluck signatures like fried chicken on acid, plus small plates and pub roasts.<\/p>\n

During the soft launch, Soho Theatre Pub will be serving drinks from 5pm every day until Saturday May 9. The venue officially launches on May 15 with further details, including menu and reservation information to be announced soon.<\/p>\n
