We are delighted to share the successful completion of the first two courses delivered as part of the Survive & Thrive Comic Relief Project at Asha. Over 25 women took part in empowering workshops covering Personal Finance & Household Budgeting; and CV Writing, Job Search & Interview Skills.<\/p>\n
Over the past few months, participants have built valuable skill, from managing household finances and saving on everyday expenses, to creating strong CVs, searching for employment, and preparing confidently for interviews. We were also pleased to welcome guest speakers who provided practical advice on energy saving, avoiding high-risk loans, accessing employment support, and improving interview techniques.<\/p>\n
We are incredibly proud of everyone\u2019s dedication, especially the 15 women who regularly attended the CV sessions and the 10 who actively participated in the budgeting workshops.<\/p>\n
To mark this achievement, participants came together on Thursday (30 April 2026) at Asha Neighbourhood Project for a Celebration & Feedback Event. Dressed in shades of pink to symbolise women supporting women, the group enjoyed an afternoon of reflection, circle activities, and meaningful conversation. A delicious meal of traditional chicken biryani, fresh fruit, and drinks was shared.<\/p>\n

Fridays: GupShup Group \u2013 1\u20132:30 pm<\/p>\n
One-off Event: Get Growing Session \u2013 Tuesday 19 May, 1:30\u20133:30 pm<\/p>\n
We are also inviting registrations for a Wellbeing Course for Carers and Volunteers at Asha.<\/p>\n
