Jack Clarke was an instrumental figure in Ipswich Town\u2019s promotion success this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The winger joined the Tractor Boys in the 2024 summer transfer window from Sunderland following their second place finish in the Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the Suffolk outfit suffered relegation from the Premier League after just one season, returning to the second tier under Kieran McKenna.<\/p>\n

But the 39-year-old has overseen the club\u2019s return to the top flight with another second place finish in the table.<\/p>\n

Clarke contributed 16 goals and one assist from 46 appearances, but it has been reported<\/a> by The Star that Sheffield United<\/a> are now considering an approach for the winger this summer.<\/p>\n

Clarke made the switch to Ipswich in 2024 after impressing in the Championship with Sunderland.<\/p>\n

He contributed 15 goals and four assists in his final full campaign with the Black Cats as they finished 16th in the table.<\/p>\n

However, the winger was unable to find the back of the net in the Premier League, despite registering four assists, with McKenna\u2019s side coming 19th.<\/p>\n

Clarke signed a contract with the Tractor Boys until June 2029, meaning he still has three years left on his deal.<\/p>\n

The forward agreed a salary worth<\/a> \u00a325,000 per week with the Suffolk outfit as part of his move from the Stadium of Light.<\/p>\n

Clarke is not the highest paid member of McKenna\u2019s side, with that honour jointly going to Leif Davis and Dara O\u2019Shea.<\/p>\n

The pair are paid<\/a> \u00a335,000 per week, while a number of players are receiving \u00a330,000 per week from the newly-promoted side.<\/p>\n

That included Ashley Young, who has announced his retirement from the game, as well as Azor Matusiwa and Ben Johnson.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, George Hirst, Christian Walton and Darnell Furlong are all paid<\/a> \u00a327,500-a-week.<\/p>\n

Sheffield United\u2019s top earners<\/p>\n

Sheffield United endured a disappointing campaign, with Chris Wilder\u2019s side coming 13th in the table just 12 months after losing the play-off final to Sunderland.<\/p>\n

The Blades will be targeting a more sustained promotion push next season, with a left-winger on the agenda ahead of the transfer window opening next month.<\/p>\n

While it remains to be seen whether Clarke can be convinced to join, the Yorkshire outfit will be busy planning for the season ahead.<\/p>\n

Their top earner is currently Japhet Tanganga, with the defender arriving last summer on a deal worth<\/a> \u00a335,000 per week.<\/p>\n

A number of players are also receiving<\/a> \u00a330,000 per week from the Yorkshire outfit, which is the kind of figure Clarke might be expecting as part of a potential move.<\/p>\n

Those players include Gus Hamer and Patrick Bamford, as well as the departing Tom Davies and Danny Ings.<\/p>\n

Clarke might have his sights set on competing in the Premier League next season with Ipswich, but he started just 23 of his 46 appearances in the Championship this year.<\/p>\n
