Brazil Undergoes Life-Saving Surgery

Blues legend Alan Brazil has revealed he recently underwent life-saving surgery. <\/p>\n
The 66-year-old\u2019s TalkSPORT breakfast shows on Thursdays and Fridays have been covered by colleagues and the former Scotland international has issued a statement explaining his absence.<\/p>\n
\u201cHi guys, I hope that everyone\u2019s well,\u201d he wrote this morning. \u201cSome of you will have noticed that I\u2019ve not been around.<\/p>\n
\u201cI recently had a life-saving operation and I\u2019m deeply grateful to the brilliant medical team who have looked after me. It will be some time yet before I\u2019m fully back to myself and for now I am focussed on my recovery in private.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you to my family and those close to me who\u2019ve been supporting\/putting up with me! I\u2019ll see you all soon. Al.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brazil came through the youth set-up with Town before going on to become a member of Sir Bobby Robson\u2019s 1981 UEFA Cup-winning team.<\/p>\n
