{"id":952905,"date":"2026-05-11T15:50:14","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T15:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/952905\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T15:50:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T15:50:14","slug":"gull-trapped-in-derelict-charles-street-building-in-wrexham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/952905\/","title":{"rendered":"Gull trapped in derelict Charles Street building in Wrexham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  North Wales Wild Bird Care received reports of the distressed gull at around 12.45pm on Sunday (May 10) after it was seen struggling to escape from a building on Charles Street, believed to be the former Bumbles Cafe premises.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The volunteer-led organisation, which specialises in rescuing and rehabilitating gulls, said it has been unable to help because there is currently no access to the building.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Gillian Traylor, spokesperson for North Wales Wild Bird Care, said the situation was \u201cheart-breaking\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>The gull can be seen here flying at the windows of the building in an attempt to escape (Image: Gillian Traylor)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  She said: \u201cThe bird is apparently very distressed and cannot escape.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe cannot help this gull, which is a protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as we cannot access the building.
