Plans to transform a former community building in Paisley<\/a> into a caf\u00e9 and takeaway have been submitted to Renfrewshire Council<\/a> for consideration.<\/p>\n MJK Architectural Studios has lodged a request for planning permission, on behalf of the owner, to convert the disused facility in Foxbar’s Lyon Road.<\/p>\n If given the go ahead by the local authority, the business intends to operate from 11am until 10pm, Monday to Sunday, and offer a range of items from filled rolls and paninis to kebabs and pizzas.<\/p>\n Tea, coffee and soft drinks would also be on the menu as well as cakes and pastries.<\/p>\n That’s according to a planning statement which has been submitted with the application and sheds light on the background to the proposed project.<\/p>\n It said: “[The applicant] has recently sold his convenience store in the immediate area and as owner of the community building wishes to provide a caf\u00e9\/small restaurant\/hot food outlet in the area that he has had a business in for more than a decade.<\/p>\n “The premises were originally a community building until sold by the council to [the applicant] several years ago.<\/p>\n “The premises are located in Lyon Road and are surrounded by a steel open bar fence with a gate.
