Angus Kinnear has started his role as Everton\u2019s new chief executive officer. Kinnear, who was present at the Blues\u2019 win at Fulham at the weekend, was confirmed as the incoming CEO back in March<\/a> but completed the Championship season with Leeds United before leaving the same post there.<\/p>\n His appointment is one of a swathe of changes behind-the-scenes at the club scheduled for the summer and it is widely expected he will be followed by recruitment specialist Nick Hammond, who worked with Kinnear at Elland Road.<\/p>\n Upon starting his role on Monday, Kinnear said: \u201cIt is a tremendous honour to be joining Everton as chief executive officer<\/a>. His appointment comes as Everton, following the takeover of The Friedkin Group, move away from the director of football model led by Kevin Thelwell. Thelwell, who is set to join Rangers this summer, did not have his contract renewed by TFG.<\/p>\n Other high profile departures from Finch Farm include those of recruitment chief Dan Purdy, academy recruitment boss James Vaughan<\/a> and player development coach Dan Micchiche. Only Thelwell is the direct result of TFG\u2019s decision-making but a cultural change is clearly set to unfold at the club.
