It was a star-studded evening on Monday (11 May) as the Royal Family and Hollywood royalty gathered to mark a milestone achievement for King Charles. At the Royal Albert Hall in London, the King and Queen welcome their glamorous guests to celebrate 50 years of The King’s Trust. Included on the exclusive guest-list were George and Amal Clooney, with Amal looking radiant in a glittering gold gown for the starry occasion.<\/p>\n

The couple were all smiles as they arrived hand in hand at ‘A King’s Trust Celebration’, with Amal glowing in a vintage designer dress by Alexander McQueen. The dress is from the house’s autumn \/ winter 2007 collection and was previously worn by Cameron Diaz at a premiere that same year, proving it’s an ageless classic which always fits the bill.<\/p>\n

George and Amal joined a line up to personally greet the King and Queen at the event at the Royal Albert Hall, and Amal is pictured shaking His Majesty’s hand. During a speech on stage, she said she was ‘proud’ of The King’s work with the trust and ‘grateful’ to have him as King.<\/p>\n

‘I’m grateful to the king for all the incredible work the trust is doing for young people around the world. I’m grateful too for his efforts to build bridges at a really challenging time in the world,’ said Amal, according to Newsweek. ‘And Your Majesty, having just watched your recent trip abroad, I think I can speak for everyone here tonight when I say we’re so proud to have you as our king.’<\/p>\n

‘The King and Queen joined King\u2019s Trust ambassadors, alumni, staff, and volunteers at the Royal Albert Hall for a special evening recognising the work of the charity,’ wrote the Royal Family in a social media post. ‘Congratulations to all the young people The Trust has supported over the last 50 years on your remarkable achievements.’<\/p>\n

Included with the message was a video summarising the night, showing celebrities such as Lilly Collins, Ant and Dec, Kate Garraway, Rod Stewart and Fearne Cotton mingling with the King and Queen. On stage, the occasion was marked with music and comedy alongside stories from the young people who have been supported by The Trust over the past 50 years.<\/p>\n
