Leeds<\/a> are showing an interest in signing one player from already relegated Burnley ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke’s side secured their safety in the Premier League earlier this month, and they will now be preparing for a busy summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

It’s an opportunity for the Yorkshire club to go to the next level after proving that they can drag themselves away from the relegation battle.<\/p>\n

Many tipped Leeds to be one of the sides relegated from the Premier League this season, but Farke and his team have done a phenomenal job to cement themselves as a top-flight club.<\/p>\n

They certainly won’t want to rest on what they’ve built, looking to enjoy another impressive summer in terms of recruitment.<\/p>\n

According to a report from Football Insider, Burnley striker Zian Flemming has emerged as a target for Leeds<\/a> ahead of the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

Former scout Mick Brown has confirmed that Leeds are targeting the forward, but he might not necessarily be their priority for the striker position.<\/p>\n

\u201cZian Flemming is a target for Leeds. It\u2019s not anything new, they\u2019re not only having a look now that Burnley have gone down, they\u2019ve had scouts keeping an eye on him throughout the season. They know they want to sign a new striker, they\u2019ll have a priority option for that position, and then they\u2019ll have options further down the list. That\u2019s where I believe Flemming is, he\u2019s on that list of targets but I would be surprised if he was the number-one option for Leeds.”<\/p>\n

The report confirms that Leeds are in the market for a new striker this summer, but it remains to be seen whether they will make a move to sign Flemming, who was voted Player of the Season for the Lancashire club, after Burnley’s relegation.<\/p>\n

Striker Shouldn’t be Leeds’ Priority<\/p>\n

Considering the form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and the fact that Leeds have Lucas Nmecha as a back-up, signing a striker shouldn’t be their first priority this summer.<\/p>\n

In reality, Leeds shouldn’t have to spend significantly, as they already have a strong base of a squad with competition throughout.<\/p>\n

Making smart deals financially, as they have done over the last few years, will be hugely beneficial, and the season they’ve had means they won’t have to panic.<\/p>\n
