A convoy of caravans were filmed arriving at a park\"Sheldon<\/p>\n

Travellers have reportedly driven onto a recreation ground in Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Footage has been posted on social media showing a convoy of caravans and other vehicles pulling into Sheldon Country Park, off Coventry Road and Horseshoes Lane, as traffic waited on Tuesday evening (May 12).<\/p>\n

The Friends of Sheldon Country Park said they had been informed of the incursion on the recreation ground.<\/p>\n

This is the third known illegal encampment at the park so far this year.<\/a><\/p>\n

Friends of Sheldon Country Park posted on Facebook: “Travellers at Sheldon Country Park.<\/p>\n

“We have just been informed that travellers have arrived once again on the Sheldon Rec side of the park.”<\/p>\n

The council has previously said about illegal encampments: ” Birmingham City Council<\/a> is committed to actively protecting its land and will take steps to recover this land where unauthorised encampments encroach upon it.<\/p>\n
