A decision looms on the ‘no booking’ trial at Warwickshire’s recycling centres. At the end of November last year, locals no longer had to book in advance to use any of the county\u2019s Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs), including Judkins in Nuneaton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since that time people have been able to simply turn up at tips to drop off their waste.<\/p>\n

Now Warwickshire County<\/a> Council, which is responsible for recycling centres, wants to know people’s views on what should happen when it comes to access in the future.<\/p>\n

In a statement, Councillor Darren Cheshire, cabinet member for environment, heritage and culture at Shire Hall said: \u201cOur recycling centres play an important role in helping residents recycle safely and responsibly, and we want to make sure they work as well as possible for everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis survey is a chance for residents to tell us what works and what could be improved. We are encouraging people to take part whether they use the centres regularly, occasionally, or not at all, as every response will help shape future decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn particular I would like to thank site users for bearing with us during the No Booking Trial as I know there have been a number of impacts on the sites during the trial period.\u201d<\/p>\n

How to take part in the survey<\/p>\n

The survey asks residents about their experiences of visiting Warwickshire<\/a> \u2019s recycling centres; the ease of access, waiting times, staff helpfulness and site layout; views on changes to how sites are accessed, including recent trial arrangements; awareness of opening hours, including late night Wednesday opening at larger sites; and reasons why some residents may not use recycling centres at all.<\/p>\n

The feedback will be used for future decisions including whether to reintroduce booking or to continue to not require booking at all.<\/p>\n

The survey will run for three weeks and can be found online here<\/a><\/p>\n
