Update #2 [Wed 13th May 2026, 12am]:<\/strong> We can now say with certainty there\u2019ll be no GTA 6<\/a> Trailer 3 on 12th May.<\/p>\n

This always seemed like a long shot based on the \u201cevidence\u201d, as we outlined in our original article below.<\/p>\n

Fans were theorising about things like Take-Two\u2019s financials taking place in nine days, because Trailer 2 arrived nine days before the publisher\u2019s quarterly report last year.<\/p>\n

And the fact there\u2019s currently no PS Store<\/strong><\/a> sale, which is unusual, but completely unrelated. If Sony was making space for GTA 6 pre-orders then why has it announced a sale for 13th May? Will people stop pre-ordering after one day?<\/p>\n

Of course, the biggest kicker was the Game Informer cover reveal<\/a>, which turned out to be The Blood of Dawnwalker<\/a>. The magazine has received a lot of unwarranted hate for that, which seems a bit unfair, as it never promised anything.<\/p>\n

As we\u2019ve repeated multiple times now, a new GTA 6 trailer is coming \u2013 the game\u2019s due out in about six months, and Take-Two\u2019s already said the marketing will start this summer.<\/p>\n

Any day now.<\/p>\n

Update #1 [Tue 12th May 2026, 1:15pm]:<\/strong> Well, folks \u2013 today is the day.<\/p>\n

Fans have tied themselves into pretzels expecting a GTA 6<\/a> trailer today, 12th May \u2013 but there\u2019s no actual guarantee Rockstar has anything planned at all.<\/p>\n

As we outlined in the original article below, the evidence is shaky and circumstantial; there are no real patterns that make this a guarantee.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, fans really are expecting to see new footage of the game today, and we\u2019ll be keeping a close eye on all of Rockstar\u2019s socials to see if it responds.<\/p>\n

Our guess? Nothing is going to happen \u2013 but we do suspect GTA 6 updates are imminent now, so it\u2019s only a matter of time.<\/p>\n

    Rockstar marches to the beat of its own drum, of course, and it doesn\u2019t need to follow conventional marketing patterns. But a year with no real new information is unique \u2013 especially as the game was originally due out this month<\/a>, on 26th May.<\/p>\n

    Now it\u2019ll arrive on 19th November, of course, and Sony\u2019s been encouraging PS4 players to upgrade their consoles<\/a> in preparation.<\/p>\n

    We know from recent leaks that PS4 is the second most popular platform<\/a> for current game GTA 5<\/a> \u2013 specifically its GTA Online<\/a> mode \u2013 and so it makes sense it\u2019d be eager to get fans to upgrade. We know PlayStation likely has a marketing deal<\/a> with the new title, too.<\/p>\n

    But in absence of any new information, fans are going stir crazy expecting new information next week, on 12th May.<\/p>\n
