Police at the Love Laundry launderette and dry cleaners in Hill Village Road in Sutton Coldfield<\/p>\n
Thieves have crowbarred their way into a shop in Sutton Coldfield stealing items and causing a lot of damage.<\/p>\n
The break-in took place at the Love Laundry and Dry Cleaning shop in Hill Village Road in Mere Green in the early hours of Saturday (May 9).<\/p>\n
The burglars crowbarred a door at about 2am and then ransacked the shop.<\/p>\n
Read more: Cafe raiders steal loo roll, vases and even art as owner pleads ‘stop’<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n They stole a bag of designer clothes which were in a Louboutin bag, change from the till and perhaps most bizarrely, washing pods.<\/p>\n The shop only opened six months ago and is run by Minni Parkes and her mum.<\/p>\n The thieves targeted the Love Laundry and Dry Cleaning shop in Hill Village Road in Mere Green, which has only been open for six months<\/p>\n Minni told BirminghamLive: \u201cIt was in the early hours off Saturday morning, about 2am.<\/p>\n \u201cThey used a crowbar to open the front doors. They are all smashed now.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have got in and trashed the place a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n Get breaking news on BirminghamLive WhatsApp<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Minni continued: \u201cThey took a bit of change and a customer had brought in a shopping bag with designer clothes.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd keys for the rooms. They took washing pods as well.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were shut until forensics came but did open on Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n They posted the following message on their Facebook page thanking customers.<\/p>\n It said: \u201cWe are pleased to let everyone know that we are still open and operating as normal following the break-in early last weekend.<\/p>\n \u201cWe would like to thank all of our customers for their patience, support, and kind messages.<\/p>\n \u201cBusiness is continuing as usual, and we look forward to welcoming you back into the shop. She said it was as much the damage being caused as the items being stolen that had caused problems.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cIt\u2019s not very nice, people being in here going through everything<\/p>\n \u201cWe have only been open six months.<\/p>\n \u201cThey took the bag from behind the till. It had not long been dropped off.
