Scotland back-row forward Evie Gallagher has signed a new contract to stay with Premiership Women’s Rugby team Bristol Bears.<\/b><\/p>\n

Gallagher, who can play across the whole back row, joined Bristol from Worcester in 2023 after the Warriors folded and dropped out of the top tier.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has scored seven tries in 11 games for Bristol so far this season and tops the league’s standings for most turnovers with 19.<\/p>\n

Head coach Scott Lawson said Gallagher was “one of the best players in the world in her position”.<\/p>\n

“Her ability to perform across the back row gives us huge flexibility, but what really sets her apart is the impact she has all over the pitch,” he added.<\/p>\n

“To lead the league for turnovers shows the level of influence she has defensively, but her carrying, physicality and work rate make her a complete player. She drives standards every day and is a massive part of the environment we’re building here.”<\/p>\n

Gallagher has 42 caps for Scotland but she has missed the whole of the current Six Nations campaign due to injury.<\/a><\/p>\n
