It\u2019s home to some of Liverpool\u2019s most popular venues, now visitors to Cains Brewery Village in the Baltic Triangle don\u2019t have to leave at closing time.<\/p>\n

Two new short stay rentals \u2013 The Baltic Cabin and The Baltic Caravan \u2013 have opened up at the centre of the site, next door to Red Brick Market.<\/p>\n

The pair are owned by Craig Passey, who already manages 15 Airbnb apartments in the city.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He saw the opportunity to create unique stays that would allow guests to be right in the heart of the action especially at weekends.<\/p>\n

Craig, who works full-time as a solicitor, bought the two quirky rentals from their previous owners Hippie Chic bar in Cains.<\/p>\n

He explains:<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019d had them since about 2021, they\u2019re friends of mine and they were looking to sell about 18 months ago. They knew I was doing Airbnbs so they offered them to me.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey looked very different when we took them on to how they are now. The cabin wasn\u2019t painted, it was basically like a shed, and the caravan took me 12 months to get it up and running. I had to reclad it all, treat everything for mould, put in all new flooring, and basically put everything in brand new.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had them both double glazed too because obviously at the weekends it can be loud so we mention that on all our listings. The venues on site do close around 1am and we let people know there will be noise before then but we also provide very good noise-cancelling earplugs!\u201d<\/p>\n

Craig, 37, says the location \u2013 which will also be super-handy for the new Baltic train station \u2013 has two distinctly different feels depending on which day visitors book in for their stay.<\/p>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Thursday to Sunday it\u2019s a place where you want to be out and enjoying the area, it\u2019s not somewhere you to go read a book. Monday to Wednesday I\u2019d say it\u2019s probably the quietest Airbnb in the city centre because the site\u2019s closed, but you can still get access as a guest even though it\u2019s not open for business.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also have free parking, so people can park onsite right outside the cabin and caravan and there\u2019s 24-hour security to let them in when they show their reservation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Craig says the cabin and caravan being more unusual than a regular stay fits perfectly with visitors and locals on a night out wanting something a bit different.<\/p>\n

Craig said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI first started doing Airbnbs about four years ago because I used to live in the city centre and I was staying at my girlfriend\u2019s at the weekend. I thought, why don\u2019t I just Airbnb my flat and see how it goes and it just escalated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got 15 apartments now but there\u2019s only so much you can do with an apartment, so I want to offer unique stays as well. My next goal is to get a couple of houseboats at the Marina.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cabin and caravan both sleep 8, they can be rented individually or as a pair, and they have their own private outside spaces. We do allow stags and hens, we have connections with party providers in the city, and a good relationship with BOXPARK so guests can get discounts on food and drink there. It\u2019s a win win for everyone.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo far we\u2019ve had a lot of football fans, bands, groups of friends and families staying. The first in the caravan was a family from London who ended up staying for another two and a half weeks because she loved it that much. She actually wanted to stay longer but we had other bookings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve only had the two open for about six weeks but they\u2019ve been really popular, so eventually I\u2019d like to have more on the site and create a little glamping village area.\u201d<\/p>\n
