The golden Trump phone<\/a> is finally shipping out this week to people who preordered it, according to an emailed statement given by Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien to USA Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Trump Mobile expects phones will be delivered within the next few weeks after months-long production delays, the report said.<\/p>\n

“Those delays were worth it in our minds as we are delivering an amazing product,” O’Brien reportedly said.<\/p>\n

Trump Mobile and The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to CNET’s requests for comment or confirmation.<\/p>\n

CNET Director of Content Patrick Holland put down a $100 deposit to preorder the T1 phone in June 2025 so CNET can review the phone, but he has yet to hear from the company about a shipping date. However, on Wednesday morning when he logged into his Trump Mobile account, he was alerted that he needed to update his outdated payment method.<\/p>\n

Holland says his preorder was “confirmed but not processed.”<\/p>\n

Trump Mobile launched in June 2025 with a\u00a0$47.45-a-month mobile phone plan<\/a>, and announced that a Trump phone would be made in the US and launch in August 2025. But when it became obvious that domestic large-scale smartphone manufacturing would not be possible, Trump Mobile dropped the\u00a0“made in the US” claim<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, the site simply says it is “designed with American values in mind,” an “American-proud design” and “shaped by American innovation.”<\/p>\n

Last month, a redesigned\u00a0Trump Mobile website<\/a>\u00a0finally showcased a\u00a0new-look T1 phone<\/a>, its third redesign<\/a>. It followed Trump Mobile executives showing off a handset they said was a near-production version of the\u00a0T1 phone to The Verge<\/a>\u00a0in early February.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0website claims<\/a>\u00a0it will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen; a 50-megapixel, front-facing camera; a camera bump featuring a 50-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel wide lens and a 50-megapixel (2X Tele) lens; a 5,000-mAh battery; a fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock; a Snapdragon mobile platform; and an\u00a0Android<\/a>\u00a0operating system.<\/p>\n

The site is still\u00a0accepting $100 deposits<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0the Trump phone<\/a>, which it continues to advertise as having a promotional price of $499. Trump Mobile also sells\u00a0refurbished Apple and Samsung phones<\/a>, ranging from $369 to $629.\u00a0<\/p>\n
