Eurostar has cancelled dozens of services over the busy Ascension holiday weekend in France, causing disruption for thousands of passengers travelling between France, Belgium and the UK.<\/p>\n

The cancellations affect travel between 14 and 17 May, one of the busiest long weekends of the year in France, when many people take advantage of the public holiday to travel.<\/p>\n

The worst-hit route is between\u00a0Paris\u00a0Gare du Nord and\u00a0Brussels, with multiple trains removed from the timetable each day.Eurostar said the cancellations were due to \u201coperational constraints\u201d, although railway staff told French media that shortages of rolling stock and staffing rota issues were behind the disruption.<\/p>\n
