Two men were arrested and \u00a39,000 in cash was seized after a police swoop on one of south Manchester’s busiest roads.<\/p>\n
Bundles of cash and a number of deposit slips were found when officers stopped the car on the Princess Parkway in Baguley, Wythenshawe<\/a>, this morning (May 13, 2026).<\/p>\n Two men, aged 28 and 31, have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering and remain in custody for questioning.<\/p>\n Click here<\/strong><\/a> to get the biggest stories straight to your inbox in our Daily Newsletter<\/strong><\/p>\n It followed a patrol by GMP’s South Manchester neighbourhood team in which they were aiming to detain any people who were wanted by the force.<\/p>\n Cops spotted a vehicle linked by intelligence to drug dealing and stopped it, finding the cash and a number of ‘deposit slips’ on board.<\/p>\n Inspector Mangnall, of GMP’s City of Manchester South division, said: \u201cThis is an excellent example of proactive policing, resulting in a large amount of cash being seized and two people being arrested.
