A trial date has been set for a man charged with attempted murder<\/a> after a gun was fired at a car.<\/p>\n

William Scammell, 24, from Speedwell<\/a>, appeared before Bristol Crown Court<\/a> by video link today (Wednesday, May 13).<\/p>\n

He is charged with attempted murder and being in possession of a shortened shotgun.<\/p>\n

The charges follow an incident in which a gun was fired at a car in the Speedwell area of Bristol on April 1.<\/p>\n

Avon and Somerset Police<\/a> previously said a man, aged in his 20s, had sustained serious injuries.<\/p>\n

Scammell did not enter pleas to the charges against him on Wednesday and a trial was listed on October 5.<\/p>\n

Judge Michael Cullum told Scammell: \u201cThis hearing is going to be put back to June 8.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn that day, you will be produced by video link again and you will be asked about your pleas to this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ramin Pakrooh appeared for the prosecution, while Ehsan Oarith represented Scammell.<\/p>\n
