The fight was supposed to launch Berlanga into bigger nights in the super middleweight division. Instead, he hasn\u2019t fought since the loss and has since signed with Zuffa while also pushing a music career on social media.<\/p>\n

Sheeraz laughed through the exchange and mocked Berlanga for talking more about music than boxing.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want to see something funny? Alright, so he tagged me in a story, and I told him, \u2018I knocked you out in front of your mother, your father, your girlfriend, and your son. All is fair in love and war. Take the L, chump,\u2019\u201d said Hamzah Sheeraz on Ring Magazine X.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he goes, \u2018Oh, you know we\u2019re going to run it back. You\u2019re wondering how the f*** am I still shining, and you\u2019re still over there sucking on your thumb, trying to find a fight, blah, blah, blah,\u2019\u201d said Sheeraz about what Berlanga told him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Sheeraz then turned the exchange into a joke about Berlanga moving into entertainment after the knockout defeat.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I said, \u2018Bro, you\u2019re making music now. I hit you so hard you had a career change.\u2019 I said if you hit a million views, I\u2019ll let you walk me out at my next fight.\u2019 And then he just goes, \u2018I\u2019ve just signed the biggest record deal of my career, blah, blah, blah.\u2019 But anyway, this was all about this song.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cListen, if he hits a music views, he can walk me out,\u201d said Sheeraz.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The comments are another reminder of how far Berlanga\u2019s stock has dropped since the Sheeraz defeat. Before the fight, Berlanga had been pushing for major paydays and talking about fights against Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez. Since the knockout, his boxing future has become much less clear.<\/p>\n

Zuffa\u2019s signing of Berlanga at least gives him another lane to stay relevant, but Sheeraz\u2019s comments suggest he still views him as a fighter trying to talk his way back into a big fight after getting dominated in their first meeting.<\/p>\n
