{"id":958994,"date":"2026-05-14T09:40:30","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:40:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/958994\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T09:40:30","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T09:40:30","slug":"tom-cruise-considering-doppelganger-thriller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/958994\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Cruise Considering &#8220;Doppelg\u00e4nger&#8221; Thriller?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>            <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/tom-cruise-rumored-for-miami-vice-villain.jpg\" data-caption=\"Paramount Pictures\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" class=\"entry-thumb td-modal-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/tom-cruise-rumored-for-miami-vice-villain.jpg\"   alt=\"\" title=\"tom-cruise-rumored-for-miami-vice-villain\"\/><\/a>Paramount Pictures<\/p>\n<p>With \u201cEdge of Tomorrow 2\u201d still in early development, a third \u201cTop Gun\u201d unlikely to shoot until 2027 or 2028 at the earliest, and the costly underwater film \u201cDeeper\u201d stuck in limbo right now, Tom Cruise has a scheduling window \u2013 and it looks like it\u2019s about to be taken.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theinsneider.com\/p\/tom-cruise-doppelganger-may-star-ryan-coogler-aneesh-chaganty-cia-spy-thriller-doubles-paramount\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The InSneider<\/a> reports that Cruise is in early discussions for the lead role in \u201cDoppelg\u00e4nger,\u201d a new original spy thriller set up at Paramount Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>The project is set to be helmed by \u201cSearching\u201d director Aneesh Chaganty who co-wrote the script with Dan Frey.  \u201cBlack Panther\u201d filmmaker Ryan Coogler is slated to produce.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet claims Chaganty has reportedly met with Cruise multiple times in Florida and is actively rewriting the script to suit him, though Cruise has not formally committed and is expected to decide only after seeing a finalised draft. <\/p>\n<p>At present, he\u2019s only \u2018loosely attached\u2019.
