The leadership of a Forest care home \u201crequires improvement\u201d according to Care Quality Commission inspectors.<\/p>\n
Following a two-week site visit in January and February, inspectors rated the safety, care, responsiveness, and effectiveness of Woodside Lodge in Burley Road, Branagore, as \u201cgood\u201d.<\/p>\n

But in terms of leadership, they found the home\u2019s management is still \u201cinconsistent\u201d.<\/p>\n
A report stated: \u201cThe service was previously in breach of the regulation in relation to good governance.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough we found improvements, some shortfalls remained, and the provider remained in breach of this regulation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe provider had not yet embedded robust systems and processes to consistently, effectively assess, monitor and improve quality and safety.\u201d<\/p>\n
Inspectors said there had been \u201csignificant improvements\u201d since the last inspection, but there are still areas of concern that had not been not addressed in a \u201ctimely manner\u201d, including creating secure outside spaces for service users.<\/p>\n
Inspectors observed \u201ckind interactions\u201d between service users and staff, and found people and their families gave \u201cmostly positive\u201d feedback about the home.<\/p>\n
Staff at the home also receive regular training and work with people and their healthcare partners to establish \u201csafe systems of care\u201d.<\/p>\n
