{"id":959770,"date":"2026-05-14T17:43:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T17:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/959770\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T17:43:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T17:43:22","slug":"van-dwellers-leave-clifton-downs-in-bristol-after-court-order","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/959770\/","title":{"rendered":"Van dwellers leave Clifton Downs in Bristol after court order"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Most van dwellers living at a city beauty spot have left the area after an eviction order was granted to a council. <\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Bristol City Council (BCC) said it decided to pursue enforcement action at Clifton Downs following &#8220;significant health and environmental issues&#8221; associated with people living in vehicles there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A judge granted BCC a possession order on 16 April, which gave van dwellers until 7 May to leave roads in the area or face eviction.
