Six cats have died in an accidental shed fire in Co Armagh<\/a>. The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service were called to Fruitvale Cat Hotel close to Moira at 1pm on Wednesday, May 13.<\/p>\n Two appliances from Lurgan<\/a> Fire Station, two Appliances from Portadown Fire Station, one Appliance from Lisburn<\/a> Fire Station and a Water Tanker from Pomeroy Fire Station attended the incident.<\/p>\n A shed was on fire at the cat boarding service, with the cause of the blaze believed to be accidental. The incident was dealt with by 3.32pm.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Fruitvale Cat Hotel told Belfast Live<\/a>: “We are devastated by the loss and our thoughts are with all those affected. We are grateful to the emergency services for their response and are focusing on supporting those impacted.”<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service<\/a> said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a shed on fire on Old Church Lane, Soldierstown, Lurgan. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n “Unfortunately, 6 cats died in the incident.
