Obviously, that is completely baseless and clearly untrue.

Leeds were already confirmed as safe before our trip to Tottenham on Monday night. West Ham’s defeat to Arsenal on Sunday ensured we’re staying in the top flight. But, there was no sign of Daniel Farke taking his foot off the gas.

United have a chance to finish as high as 50 points this season. Our spirited draw in North London moves us back up to 14th.

Shocking Spurs claim made about Leeds United ‘rolling over’ against West Ham

If there was any doubt over Leeds’ motivation to see out the season in the best form possible, our performance against Spurs put that to bed.

We started slowly, which is understandable with Jayden Bogle joining Gabi Gudmundsson and Noah Okafor on the treatment table. Pascal Struijk was then forced off with what appeared to be an aggravated hip issue.

However, after Mathys Tel curled in a stunner, Leeds were comfortably the better team and could’ve won. Dominic Calvert-Lewin confidently dfired in his 13th league goal of the season from the spot, before Sean Longstaff was denied a late winner through Antonin Kinsky’s heroic stop.

But, HotspurHQ has watched Leeds’ performance, and still somehow thinks we’re going to roll over for West Ham.

“Leeds have already, like Nottingham Forest, secured their safety in the Premier League for the 2026/27 season, which has left it entirely between Tottenham and West Ham in the fight for survival,” the piece reads.

“They may talk about how they are playing for pride and want to get every point possible, but it is only natural for the Peacocks to have less motivation on Matchday 38 against West Ham than they did on Monday against Tottenham.”

Leeds United are not going to roll over for West Ham – Spurs claim couldn’t be more wrong

We all know as Leeds fans that the final two games of the season are going to be more relaxed for us. But, the players and Farke will still be gunning to end the season as best as possible.

Not only is there ‘pride’ at stake, but serious financial incentive for everyone involved.

It was recently reported after survival was confirmed that United’s playing squad are in line for huge personal bonuses. The difference between a finish in 16th or 17th, and 14th, is claimed to be at least £1million – if Leeds remain in 14th from hereon, the players will earn £3.5million.

That alone is proof that Leeds won’t be rolling over.

Financial incentives extend to the club themselves too. Higher league finishes earn higher merit payments from the Premier League. The difference between 17th and 14th could be around £7.9million.

On top of that, the World Cup is around the corner. A lot of these players will want to either force their way into national squads, or find peak form to take into the tournament.

The evidence is already there. Leeds’ slow start at Spurs was unsurprising given injury news, but the fact we rallied after going a goal down shows that we’re not lying down for anyone despite having ‘nothing to play for’ and ‘no motivation’.

It’s absolute nonsense.

            50%
Love

            17%
Funny

            0%
Wow

            17%
Sad

            17%
Angry

[8814
748,1385,25764,393,4884,1860,2922,142361,142362,1368,16,15,1927
0":"post-960510","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-leeds","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-daniel-farke","10":"tag-elland-road","11":"tag-england","12":"tag-great-britain","13":"tag-leeds","14":"tag-leeds-united","15":"tag-lufc","16":"tag-the-whites","17":"tag-tottenham","18":"tag-uk","19":"tag-united-kingdom","20":"tag-west-ham
["GET
