Six former Birmingham City players are searching for new clubs after being released by EFL sides.<\/p>\n
EFL retained lists are filtering through rapidly ahead of Saturday\u2019s deadline<\/a> and Alfie Chang<\/a> \u2013 who only left Blues<\/a> in January to join Walsall<\/a> \u2013 is among those looking for new clubs.<\/p>\n Chang, 23, was part of Blues\u2019 first team three years ago when he suffered a horrific knee injury in training that forced him to miss 17 months of football.<\/p>\n FOLLOW ON FACEBOOK!<\/strong> All the latest Blues news on Birmingham Live\u2019s Birmingham City FC Facebook page<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n The midfielder rebuilt his career with League Two loans at Walsall and Bristol Rovers before making a permanent switch to the Saddlers in January.<\/p>\n Chang is one of 12 players released by Walsall who, for the second consecutive season, failed to earn promotion despite being top of League Two at Christmas<\/a>.<\/p>\n Another ex-Blues midfielder, Charlie Lakin, has also been released by Walsall after two years at the club.<\/p>\n Former Blues captain Michael Morrison has bowed out from Cambridge United after helping the U\u2019s earn promotion back to League One at the first time of asking.
