The expansion seems to have begun, as a user is now reporting that the feature is available in a key market where it wasn\u2019t available before.<\/p>\n<p>Reddit user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/PixelUsersIndia\/comments\/1tds3kd\/finally_got_take_a_message_feature_in_india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SavageSkaram<\/a> spotted the Take a Message prompt on their Pixel 10 Pro XL in India:<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"e_rg\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  title=\"Google Pixel Take a Message expanding to more regions (2)\"  alt=\"Google Pixel Take a Message expanding to more regions (2)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Google-Pixel-Take-a-Message-expanding-to-more-regions-2.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The user is part of the Phone app beta and Google Play Services beta. When a call goes unanswered, the feature prompts the caller to leave a recording. As they speak, you receive a real-time transcription on your screen, letting you decide if the call is urgent enough to interrupt what you\u2019re doing, or if you\u2019d rather read the transcript later from the Phone app\u2019s Recents tab. It also serves as an excellent secondary filter for spam from non-contact numbers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidauthority.com\/google-pixel-take-a-message-custom-greeting-how-to-3656399\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Take a Message<\/a> is available on all Pixel 6 and above devices in Australia, Canada, Ireland, the UK, and the US. In our APK teardown, we spotted that the feature could expand globally. India was specifically mentioned in the code, whereas other regions were clubbed in as \u201cAudioOnly\u201d and \u201cTranscript\u201d markets.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Audio-Only Markets: Markets where the audio-only version of the Take a Message feature will be available. The new markets this could expand to could include:\n<ul>\n<li>Europe: Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia.<\/li>\n<li>Americas: Mexico.<\/li>\n<li>Asia: Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Transcript Markets: Markets where both the audio and transcript features will be available. The new markets this could expand to could include Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and Japan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aloingside, we also spotted code that suggested Take a Message could expand to non-Pixels, too. We haven\u2019t yet located reports of expansion to other regions or to non-Pixels, but this could change soon.<\/p>\n<p>Google hasn\u2019t yet officially announced any expansion of the Take a Message feature.
