{"id":961998,"date":"2026-05-15T17:29:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T17:29:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/961998\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T17:29:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T17:29:17","slug":"sarah-taylor-named-england-mens-fielding-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/961998\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah Taylor Named England Men\u2019s Fielding Coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ee-ul\">\n<li>Sarah Taylor will serve as fielding coach during England\u2019s three-Test series against New Zealand starting on June 4<\/li>\n<li>The former England wicketkeeper becomes the most senior female coach with a major England men\u2019s sports team <\/li>\n<li>England managing director Rob Key praised Taylor, calling her \u201cone of the best in the business\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>FORMER England women&#8217;s wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor has been named as fielding coach for the men&#8217;s team during next month&#8217;s Test series against New Zealand in a landmark appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor, a World Cup winner in 2017, recently worked as an assistant coach to Andrew Flintoff with the second-string England Lions men&#8217;s team.<\/p>\n<p>But the 36-year-old has broken <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easterneye.biz\/sarah-taylor-to-make-comeback-with-welsh-fire-in-the-hundred\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">new ground as the most senior female coach<\/a> with a major England men&#8217;s sports team.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor, whom former Australia gloveman Adam Gilchrist once called the &#8220;best wicketkeeper in the world&#8221;, joined the coaching staff of county side Sussex in 2021 and coached Hundred franchise Manchester Originals the following season.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, Taylor became the first woman to play first-grade, or senior club-level cricket, in Australia for Northern Districts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8216;One of the best in business&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Taylor will work with England in their three-Test series against New Zealand, starting on June 4.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She&#8217;s done a lot of work in the Lions,&#8221;
