This is the moment an illicit haul of alcohol, vapes, cigarettes, sex pills, medicines and even dodgy eyeliner were seized from shops in Handsworth.<\/p>\n
Trading Standards and West Midlands Police<\/a> raided ‘Khyber 12’ and ‘All in One’ stores on Soho Road, in a wider crack down on crime in the area on Wednesday (May 13).<\/p>\n They discovered 71 packets of snuff (oral tobacco), 59 illegal vapes and 104 boxes of illegal boxes of cigarettes at Khyber 12.<\/p>\n Read More: Operation Fearless targets knife crime, drugs and theft on Birmingham’s Soho Road<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n The bumper haul at All in One included 14 boxes of illegal boxes of cigarettes and more than 300 packets of oral chewing tobacco.<\/p>\n More worryingly, 213 packets of Viagra (six tablets per pack), 245 packets oral antibiotics (six tablets per pack) and six bottles of harmful led eyeliner were confiscated from behind the till.<\/p>\n Ensure our latest headlines always appear at the top of your Google Search by making us a Preferred Source. <\/strong>Click here<\/a> to activate or add us as your Preferred Source in your Google search settings.<\/strong><\/p>\n Mohammed Tariq from Trading Standards said at All in One: “We’ve found illicit tobacco, unlicensed blue sex pills, unlicensed medicines which were out of date by a few months.<\/p>\n “We also found unlicensed cosmetics like eyeliner which contains lead, we will get that tested to see what it contains.<\/p>\n “We found bottles with no labels so we don’t know what’s in there.”<\/p>\n Police pulled out two metal baseball bats and a machete from behind the counter which the shop keeper initially said was to cut sugar cane.<\/p>\n
