Bee Shaffer and her husband, Francesco Carrozzini, have split after nearly eight years of marriage, Page Six can reveal.<\/p>\n
The daughter of Vogue doyenne Anna Wintour<\/a> tied the knot with the son of Franca Sozzani, the late editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, in July 2018, making the marriage a true fashion union.<\/p>\n The couple, who share a four-year-old son, told Page Six that they remain \u201cbest of friends.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAfter ten wonderful years together, we have decided to separate,\u201d they said in a statement. \u201cAlthough our career paths led us in different directions, we remain the very best of friends and devoted, committed parents to our son. Getty Images for The Met Museum\/Vogue<\/p>\n Although there had been rumblings about their marriage over the past few months as they were rarely seen together, Bee and Francesco posed together at the Met Gala <\/a>just last week, where she still wore her wedding band.<\/p>\n A few weeks beforehand, Bee had joined her mother and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Cordry Shaffer<\/a>, at the NYC premiere of \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada \u201d at Lincoln Center.<\/p>\n The couple wed at Anna Wintour\u2019s Long Island estate in July 2018, before saying \u201cI Do\u201d at another ceremony in Portofino, Italy. BACKGRID<\/p>\n Bee, 38, is a producer for ATG Entertainment in New York and is known for her work on Broadway productions including the 2022 revival of \u201cPlaza Suite\u201d, the 2023-2024 production of \u201cAppropriate\u201d and the hit musical \u201cParade.\u201d<\/p>\n She and Francesco, 43, divided their time between NYC and Italy, where he works as a filmmaker and director.<\/p>\n The pair were first romantically linked in 2016 and wed at Wintour\u2019s estate in Mastic, Long Island, in front of 150 guests, who were, of course, banned from posting pics on social media. Actor\u00a0Colin Firth officiated<\/a>, reading quotes from both Wintour and Sozzani, who died from lung cancer at age 66 in December 2016.<\/p>\n They later held a second celebration in Portofino, Italy.<\/p>\n Carrozzini joined her mother, Anna Wintour, at the Met Gala. MediaPunch \/ BACKGRID<\/p>\n Page Six announced that Bee was expecting their first child<\/a> in July 2021, and Bee gave birth<\/a> to a son that October.<\/p>\n Bee is one of Wintour\u2019s two children with her ex-husband, noted psychiatrist David Shaffer, who died in October 2023 at age 87. Their son, Charles, is also a doctor in NYC specializing in psychiatry,<\/p>\n Carrozzini attended the NYC premiere of \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada\u201d 2 with her mother last month. She revealed that her mom \u201cbecame more famous\u201d when \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada\u201d\u00a0came out. (Meryl Streep plays a parody of a Wintour-esque fashion magazine editor in the film.) Wintour found it \u201cinteresting\u201d that people viewed her as \u201cvery cold\u201d upon its release.<\/p>\n \u201cBut I know that she\u2019s the most generous person that you will ever meet,\u201d Bee added. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy, but she will put everyone else before herself. So I know that that\u2019s who she is. She\u2019s also efficient; she gets bored easily and wants to get things done.
