{"id":963325,"date":"2026-05-16T07:25:15","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T07:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/963325\/"},"modified":"2026-05-16T07:25:15","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T07:25:15","slug":"bbmf-flypast-celebrates-lancaster-bomber-sculpture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/963325\/","title":{"rendered":"BBMF flypast celebrates Lancaster bomber sculpture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The steel sculpture, which is nearly 100ft (29m) wide and perched in a field next to the A46 in Norton Disney, near the Nottinghamshire border, is tilted to appear as though the Lancaster is in flight. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It is intended to honour the RAF crews of World War Two.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">White said the site was not fully open to the public because of planning permission issues with the car park.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A dedication service was held at the site on Friday by the Bishop of Lincoln.
