Two men have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm after a man was ‘run over’ in Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Police swooped on the men at Euston Station as they had just arrived for the Unite the Kingdom protest in central London on Saturday (May 16).<\/p>\n

A man in his 30s suffered serious injuries following a collision with a van, on Mayfield Road, Stirchley<\/a>, on Thursday evening (May 14).<\/p>\n

The van had failed to stop and was recovered on nearby Prince Road was being examined by police.<\/p>\n

The Met Police said: \u201cOfficers have made two arrests in the vicinity of Euston station.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo men, wanted on suspicion of GBH following an incident in Birmingham where a man was run over, were spotted arriving into London to attend the UTK protest.\u201d<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> said on Friday: “We’re investigating after a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Stirchley on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

“The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, suffered leg injuries in the collision on Mayfield Road and remains in hospital.<\/p>\n

“The van failed to stop at the scene but was recovered on nearby Prince Road and is now being examined.<\/p>\n

“We are viewing CCTV and social media footage as we work to identify the full circumstances of what happened.<\/p>\n
